This little table was made from part of a very large warped gnarly piece of white oak which I laboriously cut and trimmed and planed into four separate workable pieces. The top of this table is beautiful, reflecting the tension within the tree at this point.
The legs are made from a half log of black oak which I refigured on the table saw. The braces give it good strength and the fact that it is 3 legged allows it to set well on uneven floors. It measures 22″l x 19″w x 22 1/2″t. The price: $ 250.00. Please call or email for shipping or pickup arrangements.
This beautiful little table was recently placed in a good home on the Pere Marquette river in Baldwin, Michigan. We sat around it the other night drinking wine and eating snacks. It looked and acted great. I was worried that it wouldn’t be loved because I didn’t fill all the natural cracks in the top. It would not have looked good. The right decision!
